Security Sales Consultants

Protection One is the only major security provider to field an employee-only sales team, all of whom must pass extensive background and drug screens. They also must pass 20 hours of training before becoming field-certified, followed by regular updated and advanced training. Most other companies hire outside dealers who do not undergo this kind of rigorous education and testing.

Security Installation Technicians

Protection One installers and service technicians are required to complete a series of core technical training courses intended to ensure their work meets our high service and installation standards. Training consists of a combination of classroom, computer-based and field instruction. Installers and service technicians are also enrolled in additional training as new technologies are introduced.

Alarm Monitoring Professionals

After extensive background and drug screenings, monitoring operators are required to complete a 120-hour training program where they receive classroom instruction and certified mentoring. Using simulated alarms, operators are trained and prepared for critical situations, from false alarms to real emergencies. Before operators are allowed to respond to live signals, they must pass a series of written and hands-on examinations.
